History
At the end of the eighties the issues concerning drinking water consumption and water systems were addressed and carried out by an inter-university research group (MURST 40% funding) which found a clot in the activity of Prof. Curto and subsequently with the birth of the national study group on "Drinking Consumption" in that of Profs. Lucio Taglialatela and Paolo Bertola;
This national study group on "drinking water consumption" has seen and still sees the activity of researchers in the sector of over 15 Italian universities distributed throughout the country gathered in the C.S.S.A. (Center for Aqueduct Systems Studies) which became in 2010 C.S.S.I. (Water Systems Study Center).
Prof. Paolo Bertola was president of the association from 2001 to 2015. His retirement was succeeded from 2016 to 2018 by prof. Marco Franchini. Since 2019, the President is Prof. Giovanni de Marinis.
